THAKALI KHANA SET 

The Thakali Khana Set is a traditional meal originating from the Thakali community in the Thak Khola region of Nepal, particularly the Mustang District. This meal is renowned for its harmonious blend of flavors and balanced nutrition, reflecting the harsh Himalayan environment where it was developed. Historically, the Thakalis were traders who traversed the mountainous terrains, and their cuisine evolved to be both hearty and wholesome, using locally available ingredients.

Our head chef, Nawarat, is a remarkable culinary talent with a unique background that shapes his distinctive approach to cooking. Born in Myanmar to Nepalese parents, Nawarat grew up immersed in a blend of two rich culinary traditions. This fusion of flavors from both Nepal and Myanmar has profoundly influenced his culinary style, allowing him to create dishes that are both authentic and innovative.

Nawarat’s passion for cooking began at an early age, inspired by the vibrant food culture of his heritage. He honed his skills over the years, mastering traditional recipes while also experimenting with contemporary techniques. After gaining extensive experience in various kitchens, Nawarat decided to bring his culinary vision to life by opening his own restaurant in London. Here, he offers a menu that reflects his deep-rooted love for the flavors of Nepal and Myanmar, creating a unique dining experience that resonates with both his personal journey and his commitment to culinary excellence.
